Islam TV Program in Milwaukee area
Just got this announcement via MSA (Muslim Student Assoc.) mailing list informing the upcoming event at ISM (Islamic Society of Milwaukee) this Saturday. Previously, I did hear something about this idea planned by the Islamic society here. So, they are really serious of having this idea put into reality. This Saturday, there'll be a meeting where the committee are looking for figures and individuals willing to help for the TV program. What catch my attention is experience not required and everything will be sponsored including the training program. They are looking for writers, researchers, studio persons, on air talent and anyone with desire to see Islam potrayed in positive manner. Hmmm... sound interesting. Let's make this real!!
Wonder how interesting this TV program would be. InshaAllah, this is the best media to promote Islam in opposition with the Christian Channel broadcasted daily through Channel 30. Everyday Channel 30 serves preaching programs and talks, including movie, where I once happened watching the movie mortifying Islam. See how this happen when we let others potraying Islam for us. That's why we really need one TV program which can be an efficient way to spread the true images of Islam.
Can't wait to see this program on air :)
I wanna hear the nasheeds and songs by Yusuf Islam and other performers, I wanna see movies and cartoons like the story of Muhammad al-Fateh, I wanna hear talks, speeches, and preachings from Islamic scholars. Will all these be allowed to be aired??
